A major twist to the quota issue and setback to the anti-reservation lobby?

The leaders of ruling UPA allies and Left parties will meet at the Prime Minister's residence to discuss the recent developments on the quota issue.

The crucial meeting will be attended by top leaders of UPA parties, the Left, beggars, eunuchs from various states sources said.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister spoke of the need for a broad-based national consensus to decide on the nature of reservation as there were eunuchs involved and they were not categorized in any of the sexes.

Earlier, Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh had said that the Government is planning to bring another 50% reservation for the eunuchs and 100% resevation for the beggars.

The Minister also held a series of meetings with legal experts including Bobby darling (big brother fame), Mr Pichumani (Secretary of the beggar association of india).

Though there was no official word on the discussions, sources said the government was "anxious" for a solution. "Consultations are on. The Government is looking at various matters and is anxious for a solution," a source was quoted.

Recently, the court had questioned the basis of the norms for fixing the OBC category. The court had also remarked that caste based reservations were dividing the nation. The great brains in the UPA govt mistook this judgement and thought that the court was upset as the eunuchs and beggars were nowhere mentioned.

A source quoted bobby darling saying that " Arjun singh used me for personal reasons and ditched me". Now whatever does that mean?
